26 june 2007 It is with big grief we announce that our bitch Mosegaarden Dust on a blue sky has pasted over the rainbowbridge. In november 2006 we arrived home to a bitch in complete panic and chock without any signs of reason. A few day later we found the reason. Behind our couch we had an electric wire nailed into the wall under the window. This was rippen out of the wall and chewed. We know from Dusty's breeder and from own experience that she shews everthing but we did not expect this. Dusty had had an electric chock and our vet said she had a severe brain damage which affected her behavior to the extreme. We have been waiting and hoping that she would recover, unfortunately this did not happen. She has attacked our other dogs on a regular basis and the night up to 26 june 2007 she attacked me. This is the reason why we decided that she had to be put down. We will never forget our most wonderfull loving bitch and herding dog from before that terrible day in november 2006.
17 june 2007 Sheep care Part of being a shepard is to keep the sheeps in good shape. Today we helped at Team Egemosen to get "a nail and hair cut" of approximately 60 sheeps. 14 juni 2007 Recommandation of Kennel Arddun We are so extremely happy and proud to have received the recommandation below from one of our homepage readers. As pioneer for HD xray and publication of HD results on our homepage it is with big pleasure and proudness that we receive this recognition. We are so greatfull that our readers have understood our message that it is so extremely important to have focus on the health and workingability of our race. And we are with our herdingtraining of all our corgies pioneers in this area as well. "Hello We have also been the owners of a corgi. Wonderfull dog. Unfortunately she did not have the physical ability to work. I do personaly have knowledge about many corgies that have back and HD problems. These conditions you do not experience if you only have your corgi as a pet and exhibtion dog. I used my corgi in agility and she was very willing to work, but unfortunately she could hardly go 1 way through the field despite the jumps were at the very lowest hight. So a good advice...if you want a dog that should be more that a pet dog, then avoid corgies out of only exhibitonlines (in other words, breeders that brags of the exteriørs of the dogs). 26/27-05-2007 Herding in Nyvang Again this year we ( Team Egemosen) have arranged for herding show in Andelslandsbyen Nyvang. Like last year we were here to show what a corgi can and can not regarding herding, which will be illustrated later in this article :-) Our stand was moved to new place where we had a great view of the latest attraction in the village, the new church. We were meet by the always commited Anne, who had together with other teammembers of TEAM EGEMOSEN had insured that all our equipments were in place for a lovely weekend in Nyvang. And interested people from many parts of DK came to our place despite the rainy weather. A lot of people have tried to get in touch with a breeder of corgies, who has focus on working ability in their breeding. Unfortunately they have tried to get in touch with us through more official contactpoints without luck so they were so pleased to find os here and we finally have established contact to Kennel Arddun. We also had the time to associate with all our old herding friends, so we have had a very nice and happy weekend. Also our own puppiebuyers who are herding came to the stand. Finally we wanted to see how developed the instinct of our Bijou has become. And that was a great succes, she is 150% commited to herding now. However some obstacles arised when we started in the fiels. The hight of the grass shows what a size of a dog means in the herding work this is a border Collie working in the field Then the trained herdishmen gave the show of working abilities, pupils of Team Egemosen showed the level of training they had obtained It is difficult when the dog needs to know what role to play " dog or sheep" And Anne has to teach the dog the role of being dog. Anne had as usual arranged for intincttest and took also time for training her people from Team Egemosen. There were many different races for the instinct test. She is such a big inspiration to us all, thank you for a fantastic arrangement once again this year. 15-04-2007 It has been announced through the Danish Corgi Club members news;” Corgi Nyt Nr, 1 2007” that the WCK Board does not agree to the Danish Press Councils decision. The Danish Press Council, ruling, states and the Press Court confirms, it is unethical for the press to make public or official, any information which is regarded as insulting and damaging to any person or persons reputation, without consulting all parties involved, that the information is valid and correct. This message confirms the verdict reached by the Press Court.
